In large mold manufacturing and automotive component workshops, molds frequently need to be transferred between production, maintenance, inspection, assembly and storage areas.
These molds are typically heavy, large in size and difficult to handle efficiently with conventional forklifts.
For this project, BECHUR supplied a customized heavy-duty electric flatcar transportation solution to improve material transfer between different production processes.
The large loading platform allows heavy molds and tooling to be placed directly onto the vehicle by an overhead crane and transported efficiently to the next workstation.

Heavy-Duty Battery Electric Flatcar Solution
BECHUR developed a battery-powered heavy-duty electric flatcar specifically for mold handling and cross-process transportation. The vehicle adopts a reinforced steel frame and low-profile platform structure to provide stable support for large industrial molds.
According to the customer’s workshop layout, mold dimensions and transportation requirements, the electric flatcar can be customized in load capacity, platform dimensions, steering configuration, control system and safety protection devices.
Instead of relying on fixed rail routes, the electric flatcar provides greater flexibility for transferring molds between multiple production stations within the workshop.
