PROJECT BACKGROUND

Automated Material Transfer Between Production Workstations

In printing equipment and machinery manufacturing workshops, large equipment modules, sheet materials, components and assemblies frequently need to move between fabrication, assembly and production stations.

Traditional handling methods often rely on forklifts, overhead cranes or manual coordination, especially when loads need to be transferred repeatedly between fixed production areas.

For this project, BECHUR provided a customized heavy-duty AGV material handling solution to automate repetitive transport tasks inside the workshop.

The AGV can move along configured routes between different work areas, carry compatible equipment modules or materials, and deliver them to designated positions without requiring a fixed rail system.

Customized Heavy-Duty AGV for Intelligent Workshop Logistics

BECHUR developed an autonomous heavy-duty AGV based on the customer’s workshop routes, transported equipment dimensions and production process requirements.

The low-profile vehicle body provides a stable platform for transporting compatible equipment modules, fixtures and industrial materials. Customized upper load carriers can also be configured according to different workpieces.

Instead of requiring operators to drive the transport vehicle throughout the entire process, the AGV can execute programmed transportation tasks and move between designated workstations according to the configured control logic.

Safety sensing devices around the vehicle provide obstacle awareness during travel, helping the AGV operate in active industrial environments shared with personnel and equipment.
